After determining the main focus of your essay, you should then write the introduction. This can be done using a detailed essay outline template, as I mentioned above. Your introduction should provide information on who you are and what you are writing about. In addition, the introduction should provide some sort of brief history of the person, idea or topic you are discussing. This will provide the reader with a small glimpse into your world, and will make him interested in learning more.
In order to maximize the effectiveness of your five paragraph essay, it is best to include at least two different types of argumentative essay styles. Argumentative and persuasive essays both employ a unique style of developing an argument, but there are differences between the two. Persuasive essayists often begin their argument with a persuasive introduction; whereas, most argumentative essayists tend to start out with a personal opinion. The introduction of your essay should give your readers a clear picture of why you are writing your essay, why you believe that you are qualified to present your argument, and why you think your position is the correct one. Once you have developed this opening statement, your next paragraphs should offer your readers additional supporting evidence and proof that your main points are true.
Argumentative essays test the reader's ability to formulate and develop reasonable arguments. The essay must make a strong case for its central point, using well thought out and organized points of evidence. The strength of the argument will usually be based on the support of at least three sources. The thesis statement in the case of an argumentative essay will usually be the central point of the essay.
When writing an expository essay, you need to make sure that the beginning, middle, and end are strong. In addition, your argument needs to build on previous paragraphs. You must make sure that your conclusion is not only your strongest argument, but also your most convincing. In expository writing, you can include historical facts to support your argument, as well as any personal opinions or observations that you want to add to the conclusion. As long as you support your claim with adequate evidence and extensive personal experience, you will provide a sound argument in your essay.
Now let's examine the format of an essay outline. When you begin writing, you should take a short mood in which you can be loose and descriptive. You might start with a short story or a short paragraph with a few details. You do not want to get too complex, as then your essay outline would become too dense and cumbersome. In addition, you want to tell your story from start to finish, and need to give details in a few paragraphs only. Each of these parts of the essay outline should have a concise description and a concrete conclusion.
The next step in the process of structuring your essays is the middle. This will consist of writing several paragraphs about the main arguments you have gathered throughout the essay. The paragraphs should discuss the details of each of the arguments you have written. The essay ends with your strongest and most compelling point to support your position. In essence, this is what outlining is about.
