After determining the main focus of your essay, you should then write the introduction. This can be done using a detailed essay outline template, as I mentioned above. Your introduction should provide information on who you are and what you are writing about. In addition, the introduction should provide some sort of brief history of the person, idea or topic you are discussing. This will provide the reader with a small glimpse into your world, and will make him interested in learning more.
After you have decided on the topic of your essay, you need to write it. This is probably one of the hardest parts of writing the essay all together. But once you have started, you can go back and edit anything you may have written wrong. Keep going back and editing until you are satisfied with the end result.
If you do not feel confident in your writing skills, you might want to consider using a guide to creating a five paragraph essay outline. A five-paragraph outline will allow you to develop a clear direction and structure for your essay. In fact, many universities and colleges require five paragraph outlines for all students who intend to write a formal academic composition. However, even though this type of outline is recommended for those who lack writing experience, it can be used by the more experienced student to help develop a clearer and more organized outline that meets the needs of his or her project.
The essay should be very clear and concise, as any error in this area will greatly diminish the overall quality and precision of the argument. One of the most common mistakes made by student writers who are writing argumentative essays is the inability to transition from one part of the essay to another. This means when the writer has concluded their argument, they simply forget about the next part of the essay, leading to poor editing and composition.
Argumentative essays test the reader's ability to formulate and develop reasonable arguments. The essay must make a strong case for its central point, using well thought out and organized points of evidence. The strength of the argument will usually be based on the support of at least three sources. The thesis statement in the case of an argumentative essay will usually be the central point of the essay.
Narrative essays usually describe events; however, instead of providing supporting evidence or attempting to persuade the reader, these types of essays focus on the telling of the story. The structure is generally dependent upon whether the main purpose of the essay is to discuss an event or relay a personal experience. Many narrative essays start with a personal story that ties into the main event to a particular set of circumstances. In expository style essays, the focus is on the text; expository essays generally have the added benefit that they can be read as a single unit, whereas most narrative forms can be read in order.
